Harvest, and some finishing....

Well,
We certainly have been keeping busy around here, AS USUAL. I managed to finish those ties!!! YAY.   (sorry the pic is upside down :P   )

I don't think they turned out too bad.  I followed the tutorial pretty closely, even the hand stitching! If I decide to make my boys some ties, I will make a few changes, which is to have a finished edge on the back hanging piece on the tie, and also use that button adjustable elastic.

In addition to finishing those, we have been really busy with harvesting the garden.  A few weeks ago already we took off all the tomatoes & onions, and they are layed out in my garage... fun fun.

I am going to can the tomatoes when they ripen, but here is a thought... NOT if they dont all ripen equally!!  So far we have just been eating them!

I managed to also harvest all my cucumbers and make sliced dill pickles!

AND take a look at my cool Pumpkins!!  I hope they turn orange in time... They are still green!  but for my first time, i think they are pretty cool, I am definitely planting them again, they are so fun!
I also managed to freeze and prep a bunch of carrots, and we also have all our potatoes out and in cardboard boxes, waiting for my awesome hubby to make me some cool movable crates for under our landing. In the years to come we are planning a rootcellar for all our garden goods to store over the winter.

The next thing on the list is still finishing my office space reorganizing, the sewing room!!! and now the kids play area in the basement.

Its a wonderful time of year, we love the harvest!
Happy Wednesday!
