Update :)

Well, I decided to change the name of this blog to Proverbs 31er :)  And that is simply because, I don't just sew.... I raise 3 awesome kids, I garden and therefore I weed..., I am in landscaping mode as well with our new acreage... I cook, I clean, I'm trying to decorate, I bake, and I work as a Math consultant from home, oh ya and I coupon :)  oh ya again and I HUNT & Fish (yes I have my own camo wear :) .  Really I enjoy all of these things but I don't just do one thing, and I thought that this blog is a way to remind me how much I am capable of accomplishing on the days when I truly don't accomplish much.

So to update, my 3rd child came along late February, and he is a blast - he laughs at all my jokes and truly thinks I am hilarious, although he thinks daddy, and his siblings are a fantastic too.  I can't believe he is 5 months old already.  They sure don't stay little for long.  He will be crawling in no time... and then look out!

I gotta say I LOVE our acreage - what a blessing God has given us... here are some reasons...
Mule Deer by our place
Wow, honeybees that took over one of our fence posts for a few days.  They are gone now, but so cool.
My latest and greatest project right now is my lovely garden.
It is really flourishing with all this rain we have had lately.  I harvested tonnes of strawberries last week - and prepped them all for freezing, and I even took a picture.  They are so pretty!

This is my second year planting a "Large Garden".  We've been on our acreage for a year already now, and last year I had so many vegetables I had a "u-pick" day with some friends... so this year I did things slightly differently.... more space between rows so the tiller can get thru, and I was more choosy with the types of vegetables I planted.  So, no corn!  and yes I have 3 huge pumkin plants - that might be a mistake... I think they are going to be gigantic... so they may overtake the peas and strawberries... Will keep you posted.  The bad thing I'm dealing with this year are POTATO BUGS!  We had them last year... but WOW they are back in a plague fashion.... so gross - I have been researching some techiques... again we will c...

Other than that - the perennials I have around the yard or soooo pretty - something I have always wanted... I just love the blue delphiniums!  Gorgeous!
I have also been trying to work on small projects around the house.  My one friend posted a pic of some laundry room ideas on her blog, and boy did that get me going, a couple of clicks later and yep, "Maybe I should make my laundry room look nicer".... .  I found this laundry room makeover page.  Right now that room for me is all about function... but I am aiming to slowly - "pretty it up" when I get a chance.  So I went and got some cute wicker laundry baskets, to neatly organize some of the stuff that was just overtaking the top of the cabinets.  Here is a sneak peak.

Later I will sew some basket liners - like WAY later :)

The other small nagging project on the "list" is our garage landing - aweseome space, easily cluttered, becuase I have yet to actaully organize everything perfectly.... and it functions so....  but I did step 1 which was a storage bench the kids can sit on to take their shoes off.  I picked it up off kijji, washed and stained it.. pretty good deal - and I can check it off as "completed".

But the rest of the landing still needs help...and time :)

Other than that - I made my first go around at a super easy rhubarb crisp I have been wanting to make for a while now, especially since my rhubarb is doing amazing! Here is a pic.
AND BOY IS IT GOOD!!!
The recipe was for Rhubarb only, but I decided to make it "strawberry-rhubarb" since I know those things go so well together.

Anyway, that is all for now, I hope to post again soon... maybe in a week ?
